    OTTAWA - An Ontario teen whose campaign for mental health made national news, a Vancouver woman raising awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women, and a young man from Calgary who designed a new renewable fuel technology are among this year's winners of an annual contest that honours ordinary Canadians making a difference in their communities.
    Samara Canada, a Toronto-based non-profit that advocates for citizen engagement, is awarding its Everyday Political Citizen award to five Canadians this year, the first time so many have been chosen.
