• David Backes ready to fall into his role

    He's Back.
    After a three-game absence, David Backes played arguably his most complete game of the season for the Bruins. He scored a sniper-esque goal with Brad Marchand streaking down the ice to his right, keeping the Sabres off balance to double the Bruins' lead.
    He was involved in plays and kept up with the David Krejci-Jake DeBrusk duo. For a line that has struggled to find someone to stick, he gave a glimpse into what stability would look like for that unit.
