• Adirondack adds a Dineen to coaching staff

    The Adirondack Thunder announced Thursday evening that Pete Dineen has been named associate coach for the ECHL team. Dineen, 57, is a son of the late Bill Dineen, who coached the AHL's Adirondack Red Wings to three Calder Cup champinoships. Pete Dineen played professionally for 11 seasons in the NHL, IHL and AHL, including as a member of the 1989 A-Wings title team, and has been a scout for the past 25 years with the Minnesota North Stars, Philadelphia Flyers, Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins and Columbus Blue Jackets.
